WHAT WE ARE
The vision of SLO U40 is to inform and inspire people of all ages to act on issues affecting the under-40 residents of San Luis Obispo County.
WHAT WE DO
SLO U40 acts as a conduit for education, engagement and action relating to the community. SLO U40 is a non-partisan and non-affiliated organization that brings together passionate people who are driven to improve how we all live, work and play on the Central Coast.

- CULTURE/LIFESTYLE: Advocate for opportunities that promote cultural experiences in our community.
- DIVERSITY: Foster inclusivity that brings people together from various backgrounds, experiences and viewpoints for the betterment of our community.
- ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Support industries and head-of-household opportunities that both align with the strategic growth and the community values of the area.
- ENVIRONMENT: Advocate and pursue new means of creating environmentally friendly and waste-free policies in our area. Work with local groups to promote projects like smart-connected cities or net-zero homes and buildings.
- HOUSING: Promote more affordable access and creative solutions to housing-related issues.
- TECHNOLOGY: Leverage technology for more inclusive community participation.
- TRANSPORTATION: Support multimodal efforts such as bike riding and bus routes that are environmentally friendly while providing safe, cost-effective and convenient transportation throughout the county.
Meet THE SLOU40 STEERING COMMITTEE
SLO U40 is made up of a group of individuals who's interest align with interests of the under 40 demographic. The steering committee was formed out of a need to polarize as a group, commit to action, & help cultivate a voice for the growing SLO U40 demographic.
